She joins a list of some of the very best volleyball players in the state of IL who have won the title!! It was one of the most competitive weeks, with the championship still not decided until the very last gold pool championship! 2017 Top Gun Facts: - L. Johnson won 3 more trophies, bringing her career total to 14. 14 is the 2nd most all time behind Clark's 16 - Johnson finished in the top 10 all 4 years, joining Hannah Kaminsky and Tiffany Clark as the only people to ever do so - Michniak finished in the top 10 for her 3rd time - she joins a list of only 4 other players to ever be in the top 10 3X - S. Gregus's 2nd place finish is the highest Sophomore finish ever. She is also the first Sophomore to make the gold pool for every category - We had 2 freshman (Musienga and Zamar) finish in the top 10. This is the second year in a row we have had 2 freshman in the top 10 - Musienga's 2nd place finish in hitting is the highest a freshman has ever finished - Rodriguez won the overall serving category. She becomes the just the 2nd freshman to ever win an overall category. - These players have now been in the top 10 2X: Remmes, Sobolewski, and O. Gregus - Bryne won the most overall categories this year with 2 (defense and linear) - S. Gregus won the most grade level titles with 4, Remmes and Bryne tied with the the 2nd most with 3 each.
