USA Volleyball Announcement:
USA Volleyball has announced its 16-player U.S. Women’s Junior National Training Team (WJNTT) for which the final 12-player roster will be selected for the 2017 FIVB Volleyball Women’s U20 World Championship.
The World Championship event will be staged July 14-23 in Boca del Rio and Cordoba, Mexico. The U.S. qualified for the World Championship by winning gold at the 2017 Women’s U20 Pan American Cup in San Jose, Costa Rica.
“USA Volleyball is excited about the group of athletes who will comprise the 2017 U.S. Women’s Junior National Training Team,” USA Volleyball Senior Director of High Performance and Events Tom Pingel. “It’s a very athletic group that will undoubtedly make for some hard decisions for the coaching staff when naming the World Championship roster.”
The WJNTT includes nine players who were on the Women’s U20 Pan American Cup gold-medal team. Hall was named the most valuable player of the tournament. She will be joined by Women’s U20 Pan Am Cup gold medalists Butler, Clark, Hall, Hammons, Pittman, Carlton, Sandbothe, Shields and Welsh.
The WJNTT will train July 2-12 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.

Congratulations to Hattie Monson and Lauren Barnes for being named to the JVA All-Teams!!

The JVA Awards Committee has selected 80 female student athletes from JVA members clubs across the country to represent the top JVA member club players in the 15s-18s age divisions.
"The amazing pool of talented athletes among JVA member clubs made it extremely difficult to select our Ultra Ankle® JVA All-National Team. We are very proud of every athlete that plays under the JVA banner across the country. Bridget Lumb, Cameron Groch, Allie Muisenga, Sara Nielsen and Gretchen Rudel all graduated with honors!   Which means they basically had a straight A average for their time at Benet!!
 
Bridget and Gretchen were also named to the East Suburban Catholic Conference Scholar Athletes list!
